Three Pinot Noirs to Enjoy as Summer slips into Fall

[ad_1]

Dundurane introduces you to three Pinot Noirs to enjoy now or to keep for those cooler fall evenings. Presented here Dandurand’s best-selling bottles that highlight one of the world’s most popular red wines.

Known to be an elegant, lighter-bodied wine, Pinot Noirs are made from black-skinned grapes that are notoriously difficult to grow. They are one of the oldest grapes and were cultivated originally in Burgundy. This pale-coloured, translucent wine ranges from light to medium-bodied and is well-loved for its complexity and longevity.

Vineyard Information:

Trinity Oaks 2020 Pinot Noir was sourced from premier California vineyards in Lodi, Clarksburg and the Central Coast that use sustainable growing practices. Cover crops like flowers, oats, & barley are grown between the grape vines to naturally enrich the soil, boosting ripeness within the fruit. The cover crops also lure beneficial insects to the area, protecting the vines from predators.

Winemaking:

Harvested during the cool mornings in Sacramento County and the Central Coast, the grapes were brought into the winery at a cool 55 degrees. The wine was aged upright for six months to add complexity and round out the tannins.
