Q&A: Which of these is a good way to chill a wine quickly?

Q. Which of these is a good way to chill a wine quickly?

A. Add cold water to the ice cubes in your ice bucket to make sure your bottle of bubbly or white wine is well-submerged and chills thoroughly. And remember, your ice bucket can be anything that doesn’t leak. It doesn’t have to be fancy, as long as it gets the wine chilled!

Pouring wine over ice is going to dilute your wine and potentially leach freezer flavor, so maybe buy those reusable cubes for hot summer days. And if you pop it in the freezer to chill, don’t forget to remove your wine from after an hour or two. If you wait too long, that bottle of sparkling is going to remove itself from the freezer for you, and explosively!
